The L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Last Lip Colors ($13.49) are a collection of long lasting liquid lipsticks in 24 different colors. These suckers are pricey for a drugstore lippie so I only picked up one to try, Everlasting Caramel.
After testing this one out for a few weeks, I can confidently say that I will be buying more! These are amazing and I have totally found my new favorite lip product.
As you can see, the Infallible Pro-Last lip colors are a double ended item. On one end you have a highly pigmented liquid lipstick with a doe foot applicator. On the other end is a solid clear lip balm.
The liquid lipstick portion goes on just like a gloss but has intense pigmentation and opaque coverage. It has a wet finish at first but dries down to an almost matte finish. Once it dries, just glide the lip balm across your lips for added shine and moisture.
I will say that I like the way this looks without the balm topper much better. But unfortunately you must use the balm. Otherwise your lips get stuck together which is pretty uncomfortable.
So what I do is just add the bare minimum amount of balm. Once that goes on, your lips feel normal. It’s so lightweight feeling and not drying at all.
Even once the balm wears off you really don’t need to reapply it unless you want it glossy. The sticky feeling doesn’t even come back when the balm wears off.
But holy crap does this stuff stays put all day. And I do mean all dang day long with eating and drinking. In fact it’s a bit stubborn to get off even at the end of the day. You have to use an oil based cleanser or just straight olive oil to get it off of your lips.
I’m pretty in love with this color too. Everlasting Caramel is a medium pink with brown undertones. This was a difficult color to capture perfectly in pics but in person it matches 2015’s Pantone color of the year, Marsala, pretty well.
Overall I give these two giant thumbs up. Other than the price, these L’Oreal lippies will not disappoint. I’ll just be sitting here patiently waiting for another buy 1, get 1 50% off sale before I buy more!
