Today let’s take a look at one of the new L’Oreal Colour Riche Eyeshadow Quads ($9.99) recently released. There were a couple beautiful neutral combos in the line so it was quite hard to choose. I ended up with Perpetual Nude.
This quad includes 4 shimmer shades; a cream color, a light tan, a light pink copper color and a purple toned medium brown. I love the packaging and design of this quad but the odd shapes for each color can make it a bit tricky to use with larger brushes.
The shadows have a very soft and creamy texture to them. I am a bit disappointed with this one in regards to pigmentation though. Each shade is very light on color payoff.
I’ve used this quad several times so far and I have noticed that the colors all look very similar once they’re on the eyes. They’re so lightly pigmented that they just kind of blend together to look like a single light taupe color on my eyelids and crease.
I’m so bummed about this one. It looked so fab in the pan and I was hoping to want to run out for more of the color choices but it’s just not worth it. For $10 I was hoping for so much more.
