It may only be the beginning of January but cosmetics companies are already releasing products for Spring 2012. One such item is L’Oreal 24hr Infallible eye shadow ($7.95). The shades are definitely bold and highly pigmented.
I bought:
- Iced Latte #888
- Amber Rush #892
- Golden Sage #333
A lot of people where under the impression that these were cream eye shadow but they are not. However, they aren’t exactly powder either. I consider them a hybrid between the two. Yes, they are powder that’s pressed into the container but they are slightly damp which makes them super easy to work with.
As I said earlier, they are extremely pigmented. A little goes a long way and a bold, vibrant look would be easily achievable with this eye shadow. As long as 24 hour wear, I didn’t keep them on for that long to test. I really didn’t want to wear them to bed. However, they are long lasting. I’m able to get a full days wear (8hrs) out of them with no creasing or fading.
Final Thoughts:
I’m impressed. I think the L’Oreal 24hr Infallible eye shadow are worth buying. They’re offered in a nice variety of colors. For the price point, you get great color payoff and easy application.
Many people are comparing these to the Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill, which I have not tried. The Armani eye shadows retail for a whopping $32.00 each though. So if these are pretty similar, you’re getting a steal in the L’Oreal version!
