The MAC Casual Colour collection ($20) out for Summer 2012 consists of 8 limited edition shades. The purpose behind these is that they can be used on either the lips and/or cheeks. I chose two colors, Weekend Getaway and Out For Fun. Weekend Getaway is a beautiful rosy pink color and Out For Fun is a more vibrant coral shade.
Each Casual Colour comes in a small pot with a screw top domed lid. Each one contains 0.43 fluid ounce which is quite a bit considering that a MAC tinted lipglass contains only 0.17 fluid ounce. These are almost exactly the same size (0.44oz) as the new Revlon PhotoReady cream blushers I reviewed last month.
The texture of these are very smooth and creamy. Each one of the two shades I own are highly pigmented so a little goes a very long way. When applied to the cheeks, they easily blend out with just your fingertips. They dry down nicely and don’t leave a greasy look or feeling on my cheeks.
On the lips, these MAC Casual Colours have a nice silky feel without being sticky or thick. They’re not quite as opaque like a lipstick but not quite as sheer as a tinted lip balm. They fall nicely in between, giving my lips a good amount of color while keeping my lips moist and soft.
I really like these a lot. I love the way they look both on the cheeks and on the lips. These are perfect for Summer, nice and light. I will get tons of use out of these and considering you only need a dab at a time, they’ll last forever.
When compared to the Revlon PhotoReady cream blushers, I like these way more. They are better pigmented, creamier and easier to blend out. And for only about $7 more, you get to use these MAC Casual Colours on the lips too!

gosh, I love how these look on the lips! I was thinking of skipping these because I was afraid it wouldn’t work on my oily skin–but now I’m starting to think it’s worth it to just get these to use on the lips!!

I have oily skin too Becca and these actually work well on my cheeks. I was worried that they would just fade away on my cheeks but surprisingly they last about 6 hours even is this humid weather. They are great just for the lips but I would try it on your cheeks as well.
