Laura Geller Baked Innovations ($48.50) is a 4 piece set exclusive to QVC. This set contains 3 full sized makeup products and a kabuki brush. You get your pick of 6 different powder foundation shades.
My set included:
- Baked Elements Foundation in Fair
- Baked Brulee Blush in Berry Creme
- Luscious Lips Liquid Lipstick in Cherry Almond
- Retractable Kabuki Foundation Brush
The reason that I picked up this set is because of the brand new foundation she just released. I’m already a huge fan of the Laura Geller Balance-n-Brighten baked foundation so I just had to try this new Baked Elements foundation.
“New Baked Elements Foundation delivers luminous, buildable, full matte coverage while nourishing and hydrating skin with hyaluronic acid, vitamin E, and jojoba oil.
Immediately after use, 100% of women saw an improvement in the look of fine lines, hydration, radiance, and skin tone.”
It comes in an oval shaped compact that is a bit bulky. It opens to reveal a mirror in the lid and it comes with a sponge which is hidden under the foundation portion which flips up.
The difference that I noticed right away was that this foundation is pretty much all one uniform color. Balance and brighten is swirled with several colors including pinks and whites.
I don’t find that this foundation is full coverage as they claim. It does nicely cover redness but certain blemishes are still visible even after I pat on extra over those areas with the included sponge.
I do like the silky texture of the foundation and the finish it leaves on my skin. Balance and brighten can look really powdery but this baked elements looks more natural. It has a matte finish but doesn’t look dry and powdery. To me it has a nice satin finish.
I’m loving the angled retractable kabuki brush. I was expecting something much smaller like you usually get in sets. This is actually a nice sized brush that is really soft and hasn’t shed at all for me. It applies a nice light layer of foundation and then you can spot apply more with the sponge for extra coverage.
I’m obsessed with all shades of the Laura Geller baked blushers. They are so colorful and I own a ton of them! This one is beautiful! Berry Creme is a medium pink color with swirls of golden mauve. It gives your cheeks the perfect pink color with a nice glow. Love!
The liquid lipstick is formulated with Vitamin E infused weightless texturizing gel that keeps my lips nice and moisturized even though it has a semi-matte finish. It is very nicely pigmented and gives opaque coverage in one light layer.
The color, Cherry Almond, is really flattering for fall too. It’s a terracotta pink color with no shimmer or sparkle. It stays nice and light on the lips and doesn’t get sticky at all.
Overall this Baked Innovations set is really great. I’m enjoying all of the products included but I still do prefer Balance N Brighten over the Baked Elements foundation. I prefer the coverage of the Balance N Brighten but the finish of Baked Elements.
Available online at QVC.
