Let’s take a look at this month’s Ipsy bag. First, take a moment to soak in the cuteness of the bag! It’s a bright teal green color in a shiny patent leather type material. The theme this month is Beauty Candy and I can’t help but think that the bag design looks like a candy bar with squares of chocolate.
I was a little thrown off at first because my bag only came with 4 items and not the usual 5. I thought maybe that was just how it was this month until I pulled up my profile on Ipsy.com. There was a 5th item showing for my bag that I did not receive.
I have since emailed them and they are mailing out a replacement, which I haven’t received just yet. Kudos to Ipsy though for having amazing customer service! Now on to the bag contents!
What came in my October 2014 Ipsy bag:
Skyn Iceland Glacial Cleansing Cloths ($5) – A package of 10 facial wet wipes containing white willow bark and cucumber extract. These are meant to soothe stressed skin and they smell amazing. I use facial wipes daily so these are right up my alley.
Figs & Rouge Nourishing and Soothing Hand Cream ($6.56) – A shea butter hand cream in the scent Mango Mandarin. Feels nice and light on the skin and smells like yummy oranges.
Jesse’s Girl Mineralized Baked Powder Eye Shadow in Graphite Frost ($3.99) – A full sized beautiful eyeshadow in a medium gray shimmery color. It’s nicely pigmented and even though it’s pretty sparkly, it’s not terrible with fallout.
Noyah All Natural Lipstick in Deeply In Mauve ($5.50) – I love this lipstick so much! It’s a beautiful deep mauve color, perfect for fall. The formula is so creamy, opaque and so, so pigmented. It feels really nice on the lips and is not drying either.
I’m really quite pleased with what I got this month. I’ll use the lipstick, wipes and lotion quite often and the eyeshadow occasionally. The value of my bag is a little over $21 so far, not including my missing 5th item.
