WOW! That’s about all I can say about May’s Ipsy bag. I am so, so, so glad I cancelled Birchbox and decided to give Ipsy another go. For only $10, I received all full sized products worth around $65!
Let’s take a look at the awesome stuff I got:
Zoya Piaf Nail Polish ($8) – light yellow shimmer
Yaby Concealer Refill in Buff ($4.85)
Mirabella Perfecting Powder($30)
Juice Beauty Lip Gloss in Fig ($15)
Pacifica Coconut Crushed Pearl Bronzing Body Butter 2oz ($7)
I still can’t believe what good samples these are this month. Not one tiny foil packet or perfume like you get with Birchbox. Nope, and not one stinker in the bunch. Everything rocks! Plus it came in a cute colorful chevron patterned bag.
The Yaby concealer is thick, creamy and pigmented. It matches my skin perfectly. The Mirabella translucent powder evens out your skin, blurring fine lines and pores. It’s very much like Tarte’s Smooth Operator finishing powder.
The Juice Beauty lip gloss is a pretty nude shimmering bronze/rose gold shade. It smells like citrus and is very silky on the lips. Not sticky at all either. And the Pacific body butter smells amazing! It has a nice vanilla coconut scent and it gives the skin a subtle sun-kissed glow without being too shimmery or sparkly.
And of course the Zoya nail polish. I’m already a fan of Zoya polishes so this is a nice addition to my collection. I don’t have a light shimmery yellow like this so I’m excited to give it a try. Plus, I never get tired of getting nail polish in these subscription type services!
If you’re not already a member of the Ipsy monthly subscription service, you can sign up here. The subscription cost is $10 a month but you always have the option to cancel at any time.
