Today I’m sharing with you the items that I received in my July 2014 Ipsy bag. The theme this month was Sensationally Sunkissed but I don’t really think anything in my bag matched that theme very well.
Let’s take a look at what I got:
Pur-Lisse SPF 30 Sunscreen (0.5 oz) – Pretty basic stuff here but it’s a daily moisture sunscreen. This has a light sunscreen scent but it’s not too bad. It feels light and soft and not greasy at all. ($16.17)
Clear Clinic Vanished Clear Spot Treatment (2 ml) – A spot treatment for blemishes formulated with menthol, glycolic acid and salicylic acid. This smells so strong, just like straight up rubbing alcohol! ($9.30)
BareMinerals 5 in 1 BB Advanced Performance Cream Eyeshadow in Barely Nude (0.03 oz) – This is supposed to prime, brighten, smooth and protect your eyelids with SPF 15. This is a nice neutral shade that I’ve been trying out as my eyeshadow base.
It’s really pigmented and nicely blanks out my eyelids. It’s smooth and creamy and easily smooths out with my finger. It does seem to make my eyeshadow last all day so I’m really liking it. ($5.40)
Pixi Tinted Brilliance Lip Balm in Unique Pink (0.06 oz) – This cute little lippie is a pale light pink shade that gives my lips just a hint of color with a nice glossy finish. It makes my lips feel soft and smooth too. ($8.40)
Models Own Nail Polish in Red Sea – This is a full size bottle of nail polish from a UK based company. It’s a pinkish red jelly type base with multi colored flakies in it. This one would probably work best as a top coat over a red or dark pink shade. ($8.50)
Everything came packaged in a bright neon pink square shaped bag. It didn’t have any pattern on it but the edges are cutely scalloped. Adorable!
Overall I was quite pleased with this month’s Ipsy bag. My items had a retail value of around $47 and change. My favorites by far were the Pixi lip balm and the BareMinerals cream eyeshadow. Those alone were well worth me spending the $10 subscription fee.
