January is a great time for a fresh start. And what better way than with an Ipsy bag full of makeup and beauty goodies!
This month’s bag was a tri-colored design with one side navy blue, the other side white and with a coral lining and zipper detail. I was pleased to see 4 full sized items this month with 1 deluxe sized sample.
Let’s look at what came in the January 2015 Ipsy bag:
La Fresh Eco-Beauty Good Day. Day Moisturizer ($12.35) – A facial moisturizer providing hydrating and anti-aging properties. Love this sample’s packaging! The screw top tip on a foil packet is genius! I’ll be able to squeeze out every last drop.
Elizabeth Mott All Over Shadow Brush ($9.99) – A soft and fluffy eyeshadow brush. Love the hot pink color!
Hikari Cosmetics Eyeliner in Storm ($13) – A shimmery charcoal gray mechanical eyeliner pencil. Not crazy about this one. It’s consistency is a bit hard, so application is a bit difficult.
Pacifica Natural Mineral Coconut Eyeshadow in Ethereal ($3.50) – A silky smooth eyeshadow single in a shimmery off-white color. Fairly pigmented but can be built up.
Velvet 59 Lip Gloss by Paris Manning in Noisette ($19) – I actually really love this gloss! It’s so smooth and non-sticky. It’s a nude color with just a hint of pink. Love the glossy finish and how it hides all my fine lines. I don’t like the strong rose scent it has though.
Overall I’m pretty pleased with this month’s Ipsy bag. I really enjoy the moisturizer, lip gloss and shadow brush so it was well worth my $10 investment. The entire January 2015 Ipsy bag had a retail value of $57.84.
