It’s that time of month when we take a look at the latest Ipsy bag of beauty goodies. This month’s theme was centered around back to school. The bag is adorable with its houndstooth pattern in a shiny vinyl type of material.
The makeup products this month were pretty awesome. I received 4 full size items and 1 deluxe size sample. Let’s look at what I got!
My August 2015 Ipsy bag contents:
Marc Anthony Nourishing Argan Oil of Morocco ($3.33) – Yummy smelling argan oil treatment for your hair. Just add a few drops to your hair. I love argan oil because it helps with my frizz and makes my hair super shiny. Excited to try this one.
Marsk Flat Eyeshadow Brush ($26) – A silky smooth flat shadow brush. Always an exciting day when you get a makeup brush in these subscription bags!
Hikari Lip Gloss in Salsa ($13) – A highly pigmented bright red lip gloss. Silky smooth with no stickiness. However it does have a nasty plastic smell to it that luckily quickly wears off. This gloss gives me near opaque coverage.
Pencil Me In Eyeliner Pencil in Boysenberry ($6.99) – This looks more like navy to me so it is a wearable color. Seems pretty soft and comes with a handy sharpener in the lid.
Skone Cosmetics Luxe Doubler Eye and Lip Pencil in Wine ($12) – A burgundy pencil that can not only be used on the lips but as an eyeliner as well. Don’t think I’ll be using this color on my eyes but it does seem creamy and pigmented so I’ll use it on my lips.
The total retail value of my samples came to $61.32. Pretty good for only shelling out $10 for the entire bag of samples.
