Hold Me Close is one of three Wet N Wild ColorIcon bronzer and blush palettes ($3.99) out for Summer 2014. Each palette includes a shimmery bronzer color and a colorful matte blush in an adorable sun and palm tree design.
This is the lightest palette of the three with the bronzer being not very bronze at all. Even with my fair skin, the bronzer really doesn’t show up when that portion is worn alone.
The colored blush portions are more pigmented but still on the lighter side. Alone it’s a pretty pink color but when the bronzer and blush are swirled together it becomes more of a peachy pink shade.
The texture of this powder is nice and silky smooth. It blends well on my cheeks and is quite buildable as a blush.
I’ve been mostly using this as a blusher with the two colors blended together. It has a light glow to is that is very flattering. I do sometimes use the light “bronze” shade alone as a highlighter on top of my cheekbones. It’s very subtle but does the trick for a nice everyday look.
If you’re looking for a bronzer with superb color payoff then this isn’t the one for you. But if you’re pale to fair skinned like myself and love bargain blushers then this is worth a try.
