Deep down I’m a budget friendly makeup junkie at heart. So if you put a $6 foundation in front of me, I’m going to most likely snatch it up and try it out.
The ELF Flawless Finish Foundation is oil-free and contains SPF 15 sunscreen. It comes in a range of 10 different shades. I picked up the color Natural (formerly Porcelain).
For being a low cost foundation, the packaging is great. It comes in a very sturdy frosted glass bottle with a pump included.
You get a little less product in this one than is usually the standard. Most foundations are at least 1 fluid ounce but this ELF one is 0.68 fluid ounces.
Natural is the second lightest shade in the range and seems to be pretty neutral to me. It doesn’t lean too yellow or too pink and works well on my fair skin.
I’m pretty impressed by the coverage that this Flawless Finish foundation provides. I find it to be about medium coverage.
It nicely covers redness completely and only major blemishes peek through a bit. The color does not oxidize on me at all.
The finish is neither matte nor dewy. It has the slightest glow to it that makes your skin look healthy and youthful.
Even though this ELF foundation offers nice coverage, it doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. It has a nice lightweight feel to it all day long.
I love the way this foundation looks on my skin. It doesn’t look cakey or overdone, even after I set it with a powder.
It also performs pretty good as well. I have oily skin so most foundations are no match for my oily t-zone after the 4 hour mark, especially during these summer months.
Flawless Finish foundation looks great on my skin all day long except on my nose. Even with a primer, this one still breaks down on me after a few hours.
I’m not mad at it though. I still would give it two thumbs up simply because of the price point, coverage and the finish. I highly recommend you give it a try.
