Don’t let the plain packaging of the new Covergirl Natureluxe Mousse Mascara ($8.99) foul you. It may not look impressive on the outside but it’s an amazing mascara. I passed it by several times myself because it just looks like an average mascara. Finally I said what the heck and figured I’d be returning it because it was lackluster. Not the case…at all.
Natureluxe mousse mascara comes in both regular and water resistant formulas. I bought the regular formula in the color #500, Very Black.
The Covergirl Natureluxe mousse formula contains natural beeswax instead of some of the synthetic polymers. That is supposed to “make stunning volume feel luxuriously light on your lashes“. I noticed minimal volume to my lashes but it does lengthen them a good bit. But the way it applies and feels, makes this a stand out product to me.
I’m in love with this mascara. So far it has surpassed the other new mascaras I reviewed this past January. This mousse mascara goes on so smooth with no clumping and no tugging. I don’t know if it’s the beeswax that makes it apply silky smooth but it glides through the lashes.
The plastic mascara brush is nice and firm and keeps lashes nicely separated. I experienced no smudging or fallout during the day and removed it with simple makeup wipes at night.
I can definitely say without a doubt that I will be reaching for this Covergirl Natureluxe mousse mascara on a daily basis. It rivals many high end mascara products but the price makes it a winner by far. Give it a try and let me know what you think! I’m excited to hear someone else’s opinions on it.
