Now is the time of the year when we’re all looking to be a little gentler on our skin. With the sun beating down on us, our skin is thirsty for something light and refreshing. That’s where Block Island Organics comes into play.
For the past month, I’ve been testing out some really great skincare and suncare products from the brand. I love that the vegan, cruelty free formula is made with organic and natural ingredients and contains no dyes or artificial fragrances.
My favorite of the three things I’ve tried is the Purifying Facial Cleanser. I keep this one in my shower and have been using it daily. It’s nice and gentle on my skin and easily removes left over makeup remnants.
Ingredients such as rosehip, chamomile, sunflower, burdock, avocado, olive and more combine to purify skin while maintaining its moisture balance.
After cleansing my face in the evenings, I apply a light layer of the Revitalizing Night Cream. I love that this one is not thick and heavy like most night creams. It’s really been helping my skin stay nice and soft and moisturized without breaking me out.
Packed with antioxidants like vitamin C and E, this organic and natural cream helps nourish and replenish skin. Featuring gentle botanicals such as cocoa butter, calendula, rosehip, avocado, aloe vera, jojoba, blueberry and more.
Lastly we have the Natural Mineral SPF 30 Face & Body Sunscreen. I hate the smell of sunscreens so I was so, so happy to discover that this one is virtually scent free! It has a very light herbal scent to it that is actually pleasant and not overpowering.
It also has a light texture to it that melts into the skin quickly and does not leave any greasy residue. Zinc Oxide provides broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection.
Overall I’m impressed by the Block Island Organics products. Everything seems to be lasting me a really long time. I’ve barely made a dent into any of the bottles after over a month’s use.
Oh and did I mention everything is paraben, sulfate, petrochemical and phthalates free?
