I think Birchbox is on a pretty good roll lately. This month’s box was filled with some good stuff. I was worried for a couple of months that they were on a downward spiral but they seem to be coming back around.
After last month’s awesome Teen Vogue Birchbox, I was expecting not to like this one. But happily, this month’s Birchbox was really good! The theme of this month’s box is Natural Wonders.
Here’s what I got:
Weleda Pomegranate Firming Night Cream (0.23oz) – An interesting blend of Turkish pomegranate, jojoba and macadamia nut oils in a cream form to reduce wrinkles.
J.R. Watkins Foot Repair Salve (0.25oz) – A cute little tin of foot balm containing peppermint oil to refresh your tired, aching feet.
LIV GRN Fragrance – This eau de parfum sample is made from sustainable ingredients with orange and neroli. Smells amazing, really nice and fresh.
Alima Pure Organic Nourishing Tinted LipBalm (0.07oz, full size!) – This balm is made with plant butters and scented with organic peppermint oil. I received the color Rhubarb which is a nice medium pink color. It feels really great on my lips, makes them soft with a touch of color. This full size item sells for $7 at AlimaPure.com.
Beauty Extra:
Yes To Blueberries Brightening Facial Towelettes (8 travel towelettes) – Facial wipes to remove makeup and cleanse the skin. Made with a blend of apple, blueberry and lemon peel extracts.
Hi there! I was lucky enough to stumble across your site, and you’ve put me in direct connection with many awesome beauty finds! BirchBox being one of them…or so it seemed initially. The last couple of months, my box has been pretty disappointing. At first, I dismissed it as luck of the draw, but this month really showed that the variance in the quality of items sent out is huge! I’m not sure if your boxes are being specially hand-picked because of your online reviews…or if it really is just luck of the draw, but my last few boxes (with the exception of the Teen Vogue box) have SUCKED compared to yours!!!
April’s box is a perfect example. Not one of our items were the same!!! I received a 0.67 fl. oz. sample of Amika hair mask (barely enough for one use with my long hair), 5ML (.17 fl. oz.) Juice Beauty moisturizer sample (enough with the moisturizer!), Taylor Swift’s Wonderstruck perfume sample, Zoya nail polish (left over from January/February’s boxes????), and….capsule laundry detergent sample 🙁 Sad puppies!!!!!
I’m going to give it one more go, but things are not looking good. At least my QVC Tarte set is amaaaaaaaaaaaaazing!!!
Hi Kristina. I know how you feel. Some of my previous boxes have been so disappointing. I think it is just luck of the draw. I don’t know how many times I’ve been envious of someone else’s Birchbox contents. In fact, I’ve often mentioned my desire for them to make everyone’s boxes the exact same. But the hard thing is actually cancelling because you keep thinking “what if?”. I want to cancel MyGlam but I know if I do, next month’s bag will be awesome so I keep hanging on. I guess that’s why they keep us in suspense. Good luck, hope it gets better for you!
