The September 2014 Beauty Box 5 had a great mix of products inside. I was excited to see three full sized items and two sample sized.
If you don’t already know about Beauty Box 5, it’s a monthly subscription service that sends five travel-sized, deluxe-sized and full-sized cosmetic products straight to your front door for only $12 per month.
Here’s what came in the September 2014 Beauty Box 5:
Nicka K New York Eyelight Crayon in Violet ($4.49) – This eyeshadow stick is a really pretty light purple shimmery color. It looked waxy and plastic like in the packaging so I wasn’t expecting much. To my surprise it’s actually very creamy and has awesome pigmentation.
Sally Hansen Toe Spacers ($1.99) – These are always useful to have so it’s great to have a fresh pair.
Natural Style by FUBU Deep Conditioner & Co-Wash ($0.83) – A hair treatment to strengthen hair and reduce frizz. Contains 8 different oils and shea butter. Sulfate and paraben free as well. Excited to try this out on my frizz prone curly hair.
My Beauty Spot Nail Polish ($4.16) – There’s no color name marked on the bottle but it’s a pretty metallic gunmetal gray color. I love the color but this has a very strong polish odor that is kinda overwhelming.
Chrislie Formulations 3-in-1 Eye Bright ($13.80) – An eye serum that is supposed to smooth, brighten and firm your eye area. The tube looked like a generous sample but it’s actually only about a third full which is a bummer.
Overall I’m pretty pleased with the products in this month’s box. The retail value of the items in this September box came to $25.27. If you like what you see, subscribe to Beauty Box 5 here.
