It’s awards season and Beauty Box 5 wants to help you get red carpet ready. From skin prep to hair prep, this month’s beauty samples have you covered. Here’s what came in my January box.
If you don’t already know about Beauty Box 5, it’s a monthly subscription service that sends five travel-sized, deluxe-sized and full-sized cosmetic products straight to your front door for only $12 per month.
Pur-lisse Blue Lotus 4-in-1 Cleansing Milk ($7.10) – Soy milk, whole oats and white tea cleanses away dirt, impurities and makeup in 1 simple step. Pur-lisse products never disappoint so I’m looking forward to trying this one. It smells really great too.
MaskerAide Spotted Anti-Blemish Clear Spot Patches ($7) – These are so cool! Clear patches that you put on blemishes overnight. They contain salicylic acid, volcanic ash and tea tree oil. Curious to see if they work.
Novex Bamboo Sprout Leave In Conditioner ($4.99) – Rich in amino acids, minerals and vitamins to give your hair strength and hydration. Apply it to damp or dry hair.
Nanacoco Nail Polish in I’ll Be There ($3.95) – A really pretty wine color. It smells so horrible though, like nothing but chemicals. It’s not 5-free so I won’t be using this one.
So Susan Light Diffuser in Cocoa Dust ($18) – A bronzer and highlighter powder duo. It’s really small and so not worth the $18 retail price. You can barely get a brush big enough for bronzing in there. The powder is smooth and pretty good on pigmentation.
Honestly I’m not too excited by this month. I’d say it was so-so with the Pur-lisse and MaskerAide items being my faves in the box. The retail value of my product samples came to $41.04.
Are you a Beauty Box 5 subscriber yet? For a monthly subscription fee of $12, you receive a box of goodies just like this in the mail each month.
