The August 2014 Beauty Box 5 wants to help us all be “radiant and remarkable”. Let’s face it, summer is basically over. And in Pennsylvania radiant skin goes away pretty quick once cold weather hits and the house heat drys our skin.
If you don’t already know about Beauty Box 5, it’s a monthly subscription service that sends five travel-sized, deluxe-sized and full-sized cosmetic products straight to your front door for only $12 per month.
Here’s what came in the August 2014 Beauty Box 5:
LA Fresh Travel Lite Makeup Remover Wipes ($2.49) – I can always use more makeup wipes! These are oil free and have a nice light, fresh scent.
Novex Brazilian Keratin Extra Deep Hair Care Cream ($0.58) – Not sure how I feel about this one. It’s a moisturizing hair treatment that calls for “contact for 25 minutes with plastic cap”.
You are supposed to apply it after shampoo, on damp hair. I don’t see myself taking the time to wash my hair, apply, keep it on for 25 minutes and then have to jump back in the shower to rinse it off.
Purlisse Pur Protect SPF 30 Sunscreen Moisturizer 0.5oz ($16.18) – A broad spectrum sunscreen for daily wear. A full size bottle sells for a whopping $55! I will never be purchasing one of those, lol!
Style Essentials Nail Polish ($7) – An iridescent glitter polish in a pale light blue tinted transparent base. I can’t find a color name on the bottle so I really don’t know what it is.
Nanacoco Lip Gloss in Carmel Latte ($3.99) – This is a full sized gloss in a pretty nude color with a hint of a rose gold colored shimmer. I really love the color of this one! It’s silky smooth and not sticky at all.
Overall this was a pretty good month. The retail value of the items in the box came to $30.24. If you like what you see, subscribe to Beauty Box 5 here.
