I’m not a big MAC makeup buyer but everytime I see the pigment called Blue Brown used in a makeup look online I’m smitten. I know that I wouldn’t use it very often so I’ve never bothered buying it.
A few weeks ago I was trolling through Ulta and came across a bareMinerals Ready Eyeshadow duo ($20) that I’ve never noticed before.
The Vision includes Illusion, a pale matte baby blue shade and Mirage a duo-chrome brown shimmer shade that reminds me exactly of the MAC Blue Brown. I love the bareMinerals pressed eyeshadows so I snatched this one right up!
Let me just say that I am in love with this eyeshadow duo! Illusion is a little on the sheer side but can be easily built up. But Mirage is extremely pigmented and just the color I’ve been lusting over!
Both shadows have a nice and soft texture. I was worried that Illusion would be a bit powdery and chalky but it’s actually not.
As you can see from the swatches, Mirage is a reddish dark brown shade with shifts of blue. When you look at it certain ways it just looks like your typical brown eyeshadow. But when the light catches it, bam! You totally see the bluish shimmer that it really has.
I highly recommend The Vision eyeshadow duo for anyone looking to branch out a little bit. The Mirage shade is sure to catch everyone’s attention because it is so different from the norm. And we all want to stand out a bit from the crowd, don’t we?

Pretty! I have a few Bare Minerals quads and palettes, and the quality is really good on each of them.
They are nice aren’t they? I have a few quads also and love the eyeshadow quality in all of them. They are a bit pricey but so worth it!

I LOVE these duos, but those shades are beyond gorgeous! Illusion normally wouldn’t interest me, but it’s such an interesting shade.
