The packaging of this kit is really cool! Both the eyeliner set and lip gloss set come in their own separate box with magnetic flip top lids. Those two boxes sit side by side on top of the eyeshadow box. It will all stay neatly stacked because the eyeliner and lip gloss boxes have magnets on the bottoms that stick to the magnetic top of the eyeshadow box.
The box that holds the eyeshadows opens in its own unique way. The two sides slide out to reveal the eyeshadows inside. It doesn’t come completely apart so it can be somewhat cumbersome to work with. When it’s fully open, it’s about 15 ½″ wide.
With three very pretty, complete boxed “sets” you can very well give all three away as separate gifts. Or you could keep one and give the other two. But who are we kidding? Would you really be able to part with any of it!? I certainly can’t!
I’m loving these waterproof eyeliners! This is my first time trying them and they do stay put even on my oily eyelids. They are severely pigmented and so soft and creamy. They glide on the eyelids so easily without any tugging.
I love all of these lip gloss colors too! I really like that they are all cream colors without glitter or shimmer. Each one is nicely pigmented and looks great without anything else underneath. They do have a minty scent to them and can be a bit sticky after some time.
As you can see from the list of shadows above, the majority are shimmer shades. There are only four matte shades in this collection. I do wish it was more of a 50/50 split but that’s ok because the shimmer shades aren’t overly glittery.
All of the eyeshadow shades in this collection are very wearable colors. I do wish they were a bit more pigmented though. The lighter shades are very light and take a fair amount of building up. However, the darker ones are much better.
Even though the eyeshadows are a lot lighter than I expected, it’s still a great bargain for all of these amazing products at only $50! I’m not one to like bolder eyeshadows so these still work well for me. I highly recommend picking up a Tarte Treat Yourself To Gorgeous set for any and all makeup lovers on your holiday gift list. You really get a lot of bang for your buck with this one.
