As some of you may already realize, I’m a big fan of Birchbox. Birchbox is a monthly subscription service that sends you a box of beauty and/or makeup samples for only $10 a month. You get to try new and exciting products each and every month.
Well, there’s a new beauty sample subscription service out starting this month called MyGlam. It’s the same price per month as Birchbox and the same concept as well. Except with MyGlam, your beauty samples will come in a makeup bag instead of a cardboard box like Birchbox.
The very first MyGlam bag came the other day and I’m quite impressed. Lots of really cool products inside! I’ll be interested to see how this service stacks up to Birchbox after the first initial months go by.
Here’s what was in MyGlam bag:
Full sized Urban Decay eyeshadow in Sin – One of my favorite UD shadows. It’s a nice shimmery light tan color, no sparkles in this one.
Sample sized Urban Decay Primer Potion – One of the best eye primers around. Helps to keep your eyeshadow in place all day long.
Full Sized NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Milan – This is an interesting product. It’s applied like a lip gloss but it feels more like lipstick. It has no shine, it’s matte but not dry and cakey at all. It feels nice and silky on your lips. This color is a pretty soft pink shade.
Sample sized Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara – Another favorite of mine! It gives your lashes nice volume and added length.
Mai Couture Blemish Control Blotting Papers – A generous booklet of 100 blotting sheets! These blotting sheets contain Salicylic Acid to help prevent breakouts while absorbing the excess oil on your skin.
Mai Couture Blush in a Rush in Sunset Blvd – These are really cool! They are in paper sheets, just like blotting papers, only these contain blush. Wait, what!? Yep, you just rub the sheets onto your cheeks to transfer the blush. Really cool idea for traveling! Sunset Blvd is a light peach shimmer color.

That’s definitely worth the price paid of $10! The full size eyeshadow alone would, most likely, cost more than that. That’s an excellent deal . .
