Hello ladies and gents, it’s my Birchbox contents for October! I can’t believe it’s the middle of October already. Good golly, this year is gonna be over in a snap. Oh hubs hates when I say golly, he makes fun of me for about an hour after I say it. So of course, I say it just to bug him. 😉 Just a little payback for what annoying stuff of his I’ve had to put up for over the past 13 years! (Love ya hun if you’re reading this!)
Anywho, again I find myself a little underwhelmed about this month’s Birchbox. I don’t know. I find myself getting less excited about it coming each month. Like I’m dreading that’s it’s gonna be full of stuff I don’t want. Maybe it’s not Birchbox itself, maybe I’ve been getting really spoiled by the New Beauty test tubes full of awesome goodies.
I’m gonna let it ride for a bit longer though. I think I’ll see what happens at the beginning of 2012 before I make a decision. I guess I shouldn’t complain, it only costs $10 a month and I always get my money’s worth. One more stellar box could make me forgive the past few semi-duds. We shall wait and see.
So here’s what I got this month:
Ouidad Moisture Lock leave in conditioner – I actually already own a bottle of this. It works pretty good on my curly hair. Keeps the frizz factor down.
Laura Geller bronze tinted Spackle -I have the original Spackle and like it so, so. It doesn’t keep my oily skin under control as good as Smashbox photo finish primer though. I do look forward to seeing how this tinted one will look under foundation.
Stila Forever Your Curl mini mascara – I’ve been using this over the past few days and I think it’s a nice mascara. It gives nice length with no clumping and I like the shape of the brush. I don’t really see it curling my lashes though. I’ll stick with using my eyelash curler before applying mascara.
Sunday Riley, Juno Transformative Lipid Serum – Geez that’s a mouth full and the full size bottle is a wallet full! No matter how this works, I would not purchase a full size for $125! It’s a facial oil that’s supposed to make skin radiant and glowing. It better be full of gold dust for that price, haha.
Tea Forte Minteas – A cute little tin full of all natural, sugar free, organic tea mints. They definitely don’t taste like any mint I’ve had before but they are minty strong.
Once again, my Birchbox looks way different than some of the others I’ve seen posted online so far. I hate that. I know I keep saying this but I wish they were all the same for everyone. But then again, a lot of people got a packet of laundry detergent in there’s. I so wouldn’t have been happy getting that!
So tell me, did you get a Birchbox this month? If you did, what fun stuff did you get? I’d love to hear from you!

As silly as it sounds, I never heard of Birchbox until I visited your site. But it looks like a lot of fun getting beauty products in the mail, though I bet my husband will just roll his eyes at me when I sign up. Besides, I am sure that he will just tell me I don’t need any beauty products – I am beautiful all on my own.
