Summer is here and boy has it been hot the past couple of days here in the Pittsburgh area. When it gets this hot and humid, who wants to wear heavy eye makeup? Not me.
These past couple of weeks I’ve turned toward just adding a vibrant waterproof eyeliner to my eyes and calling it a day. It adds just a bit of high intensity color that’s perfect for summer but will stay put even through the heat.
I’ve come across some really great waterproof eyeliners and wanted to share them with you. Here are 6 of my favorites listed as pictured from left to right.
Urban Decay’s 24/7 “Asphyxia” Eye Pencil – A beautiful cross between pink and purple. The color looks different depending on how the light hits it.
Urban Decay’s 24/7 “Deviant” Eye Pencil – A bright electric blue color lighter than typical navy blue colored eyeliners.
Milani Infinite Liquid Eyeliner in “Eternal” – This drugstore eyeliner is a bright green color with a golden cast to it. Wears like iron, great for swimming.
Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes in color 13L – A vibrant fuschia pink color.
Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes in color 9L – A bright golden yellow color.
Sephora’s Eyeliner Creme in “Electric Teal” – The name kinda says it all. It’s a beautiful vibrant blue that looks great with my blue eyes.
As I already mentioned, these are all waterproof eyeliners. By far the Milani brand wears the best in warm and wet circumstances. It truly wears like iron and will not budge even soaking wet. If you don’t care for the green, Milani Infinite comes in other standard shades as well.
As far as the rest of them, the Sephora creme and the Make Up For Ever come in second as the most durable in hot weather. Even when rubbed wet or dry, there is very little color transfer. Urban Decay’s are still very durable but they do smear if you rub them even with your dry hand.
All of these waterproof eyeliners can be purchased at Sephora except for the Milani one. You can typically find Milani products at any CVS drugstore.

Yes definitely a nice rich and vibrant blue. I love blue eyeliner but they always seem to be too dark like a navy. Navy to me just looks black from far away. This adds a nice pop with my blue eyes.
