The Milani Strobelight Instant Glow Powder ($10) is a collection of four different highlighter colors. I have yet to see these in stores so I ordered the lightest shade, Afterglow, from the Milani website.
I was pretty shocked to see how large this highlighting powder is for the price. For comparisons sake, you get a touch more than a Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector and a full ounce more than a Lorac Light Source Illuminating Highlighter.
The packaging is sleek, compact and not bulky at all. The glow powder itself has an embossed ripple design in it that looks so pretty.
The powder is silky smooth and does not gave a gritty texture at all. It blends beautifully and melts right into my skin. There are no glittery particles in it either.
Milani Afterglow is a pale pearl colored highlighter. It has a very, very fine hint of a pinkish glow when the light hits it just right.
This color is perfect for my fair skin and gives me the most natural looking glow. It doesn’t seem to terribly accentuate uneven texture like some super intense highlighters seem to do.
Overall I give the Milani Strobelight Instant Glow Powders two thumbs up. Whenever these finally hit stores, I’ll most likely pick up the next darker color, Dayglow, as well.
Available online at Milani Cosmetics.
