Maybelline Brow Precise ($8.99) Fiber Volumizer is a tinted, fiber infused brow mascara gel. It comes in three different colors. I picked up the middle shade called Soft Brown.
The first thing that will catch your eye with this brow gel is the unique shape of the applicator wand. One side of the paddle wand is completely flat with mascara type “teeth”. When you look up close, you’ll be able to see the tiny fibers in the formula.
I’ve used the Brow Precise now for about a week and I can safely say that I am not a fan. The shape of the wand is very awkward to use and a little too big for my brows.
I find that it’s very hard to actually control where and how much brow gel is being applied. The very fine, not noticeable, brow hairs around my brows end up with brow gel on them and become VERY noticeable.
There also seems to be way too much product on the wand. Even when I diligently wipe off any excess product before application, it still applies ways too much in certain spots and makes everything look uneven.
It does give a good amount of tinted color to my brows. And the fibers seem to grab onto my brows and fill in some sparse spots a bit.
I just can’t seem to get a happy medium with this brow gel though no matter how hard I try. I’m at the point where I believe it’s just not worth the extra time needed to make it look good.
I’d have to say that this is a pass for me. I’ll be taking this Maybelline Brow Precise back to the Target it came from. I much prefer using my super affordable Essence Make Me Brow for a no-fuss tinted brow gel application.
