The Lorac Pro Palette 3 ($44) is the third installment in the Pro Palette line. It includes 16 eyeshadows in total, 8 matte and 8 shimmer. It also comes with a 0.19 oz tube of the Lorac Behind the Scenes Eye Primer.
I’ve passed on the previous two Pro palettes but something about this third one spoke to me. I think the fact that it’s mainly neutral colors is what drew me in and made me buy it.
I like the sleek thin packaging. For including 16 shadows, it’s not big and bulky like most big eyeshadow palettes are. It has a nice generous sized mirror in the lid.
I love that they keep the mattes and shimmers separate. The top row is all of the matte colors and the bottom row is all of the shimmer shades.
With the Lorac Pro 3, one palette is all you need for a complete eyeshadow look. It’s a great combination of colors with plenty of crease colors, lid colors, blending colors and more.
All of the colors are nicely pigmented. The two lightest matte shades almost match my fair skin completely and the two lightest shimmer shades look pretty similar, especially on the eyes.
But wow! The darker shades are super, duper pigmented. The Jet Black color is no joke. One swipe delivers intense black color. Clay, Terracotta and Dk. Brown can be a bit patchy but nothing extra blending won’t solve.
The shadows themselves are soft and blend out really easily. The only complaint I have is that they are very, very powdery. You get a lot of excess waste that kicks up when you touch them in the slightest.
It makes for a very messy palette and a powdery mess on my vanity every time I use it. Be sure you tap the excess off of your brush before applying them.
