Over the past year or two, I’ve heard so many people rave about the It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream ($38). It’s quite pricey so I’ve been putting off the purchase for quite some time but I finally bit the bullet.
If you’re not familiar with CC creams, they are basically like a tinted moisturizer. They are color correcting to even out your skin and cover minor blemishes while still feeling light on the skin.
It Cosmetics is known for makeup products that are actually good for your skin. They are developed with world renowned plastic surgeons and dermatologists and include anti-aging technologies.
I purchased the lightest shade, Fair. The packaging is a squeeze type tube but it actually comes with a convenient pump. I love that this It Cosmetics CC Cream contains UVA/UVB 50+ broad spectrum physical sunscreen as well.
Let’s start with coverage. I’ve applied this cc cream with both a beauty blender sponge and a brush. Either application works but you’ll get slightly more coverage with a brush.
However, I’m not that impressed by the amount of coverage this provides. Lots of people claim it gives coverage much like a foundation but I don’t find that to be true. I get very light coverage with my freckles and blemishes still peeking through.
I can get more coverage by applying concealers and a powder on top but that kind of defeats the purpose of a light cc cream for summer. And not to mention that I have other cc creams that provide much better coverage.
The fair color is very light as well so only choose that if you have very fair/porcelain skin. I have to warm it up a bit for me with bronzer to avoid looking too ghostly.
Since it has a light texture and coverage, wear time isn’t that great either on my oily skin. Even when starting with a primer and finishing with a bit of powder, it starts to break down after about 5 hours.

My Final Thoughts:
As you may be able to tell, I’m not that impressed by the It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream. And in fact I did end up returning it. I just didn’t see how it was worth $38 for very little coverage and not so great wear time.
One other thing that bothered me was the amount of ingredients in this cc cream. The list is long enough to cover two sides of the box! I think I stopped counting at around 70, which seems quite excessive.

I agree, that is a long ingredients list :/
I would have returned.
