Jordana Modern Matte Lipsticks ($2.99) is a collection of 18 beautiful budget friendly lippies. I picked up three to try: Matte Classy, Matte Blush and Matte Bare.
The Modern Matte packaging is nothing special. It’s mainly made up of clear plastic but it is sturdy feeling at least.
These lipsticks smell like wax to me with just a bit of vanilla added in. The scent isn’t strong though so it doesn’t bother me a bit.
As with most matte lipsticks, dryness is a major factor to consider. These are pretty inconsistent and vary by color. Both Matte Blush and Matte Classy feel nice and creamy on the lips.
Matte Bare is more on the dry side. It tugs and drags across the lips and feels very dry and tight on the lips.
The pigmentation of all three of these Jordana Modern Matte lipsticks is outstanding. They all give my lips opaque coverage with very little effort.
My camera makes these lip swatches look glossy but in person they have a true matte finish.

For matte lipstick lovers on a tight budget, these are a dream come true. They have amazing pigmentation but be sure to moisturize your lips really well before application.
