Happy weekend everyone! Today I’m swatching a new 8 pan eyeshadow palette from Wet n Wild called Poster Child ($4.99). This palette is a combination of matte, shimmer and satin shades in bold, vibrant colors for Spring 2014.
Sadly a lot of these shades are not as pigmented as you would expect. The lighter shades such as the browbone and eyelid shades are very light on pigmentation.
The darker crease and definer shades are a bit better but still not as much color payoff as I would have liked. Luckily most of these eyeshadow shades are buildable for a bit more color concentration.
I also find the lightest pink browbone shade to be a bit chalky but nothing I can’t live with. Some of the other shades are a bit on the powdery side so you may experience fallout if you load your brush too much.
Overall I think this is a fun Spring/Summer eyeshadow palette. It’s not something I would use to complete a full eye look with but it will be fun to mix with other everyday shades for a pop of color.
What do you think of Wet N Wild’s Poster Child?

From other reviews I have seen, the new Wet n Wild eye shadows seem to be a let down. I wish they hadn’t changed the formula… because it was amazing! Comfort Zone is a holy grail palette in my collection! I do think the shades in this palette look pretty… but not quite as pretty when they are swatched. I’m still undecided as to whether or not I’ll pick this one up… hmmm… Thanks for sharing your thoughts!!

Yea, it’s not something I would consider as a must have. I think it’s much more geared for a younger makeup lover on a budget.

WHY WnW? WHY? I agree with both of you, I do believe they changed a winning formula and now their eyeshadows are awful. I can’t believe those new five pans! I bought three of them expecting the same great pigmentation that they have had for years and bleh! It’s like they decided they didn’t want all of us WOMEN enjoying and buying their makeup and lowered the quality to go back to the crap quality that only middle school and high school girls, who don’t know any better, would buy.

Yeah, the 5 pan ones were not impressive at all. I wasn’t thrilled with this Poster Child one but the two Spring 2014 8 pan palettes are actually really nice.
