Maybelline has a new collection of nude lipsticks out called The Buffs. There are 8 brand new Color Sensational shades available in the line. I picked up only 1 to try that I thought would work the most with my fair skin.
Blushing Beige is a light pink nude. The whole line is cream shades with no shimmer or sparkle, which I think is great.
This lipstick is smooth and creamy and fairly pigmented. It can look a bit patchy on just bare lips so I think it’s best to wear this one with a nude lip liner. It also can cling to dry patches so make sure your lips are moisturized well first.
Overall I think it looks pretty good with my skintone and feels nice and light on my lips. I found a display at my local K-Mart for anyone looking out for these. Will you be trying any of the Maybelline The Buffs lipstick shades?
I saw swatches of the entire line on another website, and really none of them looked nice, imo. Either super pale, or brownish tones. I guess I’ll have to check them out in person, but I’m not really impressed right now.
You’re right about that, not every color will suit every person. I thought this was gonna be too light for me but it turned out ok. I will probably wear it most often though with a light pink gloss on top to warm it up a bit.
Finally they get that nude is not just beige I’m brown skinned and I want my nude to be represented and darker. Just wait till this is released. I’m gonna buy all the dark colors I can.
