I have mentioned before that I also have a side business of making my own soy blend scented candles and tart melts. I have spent the last 4 years trying different supplier’s wax, wicks and oils. If anyone reading this is like me, it can be frustrating finding the best, most reliable supply companies online.
It takes lots of time and effort to search thru thousands of site entries that offer supplies. I have compiled this list of 20 suppliers that I order from on a consistent basis.
They offer the best quality and selection of scent oils I have found. Many others exist, but this is my own personal opinion of the best ones.
Alabaster Candles and Supplies
Early American Candle Supplies
Fragrance Oil Heaven
Kentucky Candle Wax Supply
Millcreek Soy Wax Candle Supply
Tennessee Candle Supplies
Tri-State Candlemaking Supplies, Inc

Rachel, you will find lots of great stuff to try out. I think some of the sites even have starter kits for sale. Be aware though, it’s a lot messier than cooking. The wax is hard to remove and the dyes stain counter tops, floors and cabinet fronts. I learned that the hard way before I moved my operation to my basement. Good luck, it can be lots of fun!

I agree with Rachel – this sure makes it easy for those crafters out there. Very nice list!

Thanks for your list, I love making soap, it’s more time consuming but I love that it doesn’t make my waist any bigger (unlike cooking food lol). I did want to say that if you get into soap or candles as much as I do you may want to add bulk apothecary to your list they offer great prices for higher quantities. I still go to other sites for certain molds but I like the prices there, worth checking out either way. Thanks so much for the amazing blog!
