If you have oily skin like me then you know what a challenge it is to find the perfect foundation that not only holds up all day but also doesn’t make you look like a shiny mess. I’ve tried so many foundations over the years and thought I’d share my top 10 favorites.
It Cosmetics Celebration Foundation ($35) – This silky smooth powder gives my skin full coverage with a very natural looking finish. It has a very light texture that does not look cakey or powdery on my skin.
Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation ($5) – This bugger is a thick one! It has full coverage that conceals any redness or imperfections totally. It can look a little too matte and flat so a bronzer and highlighter is pretty much a must.
Kat Von D Liquid Tattoo Foundation ($34) – Also another very thick foundation with full coverage. Applies best for me with my damp Beauty Blender to add some moisture and help even it out on my skin.
Laura Geller Balance-n-Brighten Foundation ($33) – This powder foundation gives my skin light to medium coverage. It has a nice smooth texture but can get a bit cakey if you build it up too much. I love using this one in the summer for a light dusting to even out my skin without looking like I have makeup on.
Revlon ColorStay For Combination/Oily ($10) – A good classic foundation with medium to full buildable coverage. Feels light on my skin without an overly matte finish.
Tarte Amazonian Clay Airbrush Foundation ($36) – My all time favorite powder foundation. Goes on so smoothly and leaves my skin with a natural finish with a very slight glow. One light application gives me full coverage with very little effort.
Covergirl Ready, Set Gorgeous Liquid Foundation ($7) – A great budget friendly drugstore option with light to medium coverage. Love the demi-matte finish it gives my skin.
Laura Mercier Mineral Powder ($39) – Another great powder foundation option for a very natural looking non-powdery finish. It gives my skin light to medium buildable coverage. Another one I love to quickly use to even out my skin before running out the door. Feels nice and light on the skin as well.
L’Oreal True Match ($7) – This one is fairly new to my collection. I’ve heard so many good things about it so I finally bought it over this past summer. It gives me medium to full coverage with a natural looking finish.
Elf Acne Fighting Foundation ($6) – Another superb budget friendly option. This liquid foundation gives my skin full coverage without looking or feeling thick and heavy.
Well there you have it, 10 great options for my fellow oily skin ladies (and gents)! Did you see any of your favorites on the list? If not, let me know your favorites. I’m always on the search for that perfect, life changing foundation.

I also have oily skin. I love Almay’s TLC foundation. Have you tried that one? 🙂 Great stuff for oil control (I still set it with a powder).
