Once being dependant on surviving on profits from my candle business, I now know how important it is to support small home based craft businesses. I’ve had the experience of barely scraping by with the itty bitty profits I was making and I hated it!
I couldn’t even imagine if I was a WAHM trying to provide for my children. One of the reasons why I closed my candle business was that I couldn’t hack the stress of worrying how bills would be paid each month.
Needless to say, I try my best to buy from handmade sellers. One of the things I enjoy buying from small crafters is scented soaps.
The creative scents and designs are something you just can’t get from a bigger retailer. There are so many creative sellers that it’s hard to choose.
So, I’ve put together this list of 10 soap makers that I enjoy browsing and occasionally buying from. Beware – the products are too tempting to resist!
Grumpy Girl – While the name itself makes me laugh, the soaps are absolutely beautiful. The soaps are brightly colored and are very uniquely named. Always FREE shipping on all orders over $50.00!
Ducky Soaps – These soaps are tons of fun! Each soap has a rubber ducky embedded into the soap. Lots of different colored and styled duckies to choose from. Great kids gifts and stocking stuffers.
Country Cottage By Linda – If you’re looking to buy gorgeous soap in bulk, then this is your place to do it. This pretty and highly fragrant soap is sold in bars or in full loaves. She will even take special orders on her website.
Handmade By Clara Luna – These unique soaps are encased in a felted combination of wool and silk. How different! The product description says they are a “silky washcloth and soap all in one”. The beautiful colors are sure to please.
Suds By Sarah – These beautifully colored soaps are available in lots of scent choices. A lot of highly unique scents you wouldn’t find anywhere else.
The Soap Store – So many pretty soaps and scents to choose from! Lots of fun novelty and food shaped soaps too.
Bare Bumm Bathworks – This cleverly named soap maker makes colorful soaps with fluffy whipped tops.
Verbena Custom Blends – What makes this soap maker stand out is the cupcake shaped soaps they make. An array of different cupcake styles, colors and shapes. Very cute gift for any young lady.
You Stink Soap – Don’t let the name turn you off! These vegan soap bars look wonderful and they have jars of “cream soap” that look absolutely luscious.
Alchemic Muse – Another soap maker with interesting and creative scent choices. The scent names will get you curious while the soaps look nice and creamy.
