Wet N Wild Fergie Rose Parade is one of four new limited edition eyeshadow palettes. The combination of beautiful pinks and purples caught my eye with this one. This one was originally $5 but I got it on sale for only $3.74!
In this palette you get a light satin pink, a light lavender purple with gold shimmer, a medium pink shimmer, matte black and a matte medium purple shade.
If you’re expecting the amazing pigmentation that the Wet N Wild ColorIcon eyeshadows have then you will be a bit disappointed with these. They have a fair amount of pigmentation when swatched on my arm over a primer but lose some of that when applied to the eyelids.
The light pink and the light purple shade are barely noticeable on the lids. The light pink wears so light that you could use it as your browbone highlight. The light purple’s golden shimmer looks barely there when worn alone but I find it looks better when used over the middle medium matte purple shade.
I do really enjoy the medium pink shade and the middle purple shade which both have a good amount of pigmentation. And the black shade…wowzer! It is super black and highly pigmented. It works really well as a liner for me.
Overall for the price, I’m not sorry I bought the Rose Parade palette. You’d pay that much for the single black shadow, so that makes it worth having alone. All of the shades apply smoothly and are easily blendable.
