Cushion beauty products are all the rage right now and Wet n Wild has jumped on the bandwagon with very budget friendly options. I recently picked up their Mega Cushion Highlight Illuminator ($5.99).
This cushion highlighter only comes in one color called Who’s That Pearl. In the packaging it looks like a pretty peachy pink color but on the skin it is a pretty pearl color.
The packaging is not the greatest, or easiest to get into but I’m ok with that for the price that it is. It has an inner stopper that I make sure to firmly put back into place after each use.
The outer lid twists on as well so it seems to be pretty air tight. I’ve had this for over a month now and it doesn’t show any signs of drying out too quickly.
They do also include an applicator sponge but I find that it’s too hard to control where you’re placing the highlighter with that type of sponge. The best way I’ve found to apply this is with my clean fingertips.
You get better control if you tap the highlighter onto your skin, with your fingertips, exactly where you want it. Then you can use your fingers, a sponge or a brush to blend it out.
The formula easily and smoothly blends out for a seamless application. And the result is beautiful!
This Wet n Wild cushion highlighter gives your skin a really nice, natural glow. If you like blinding illuminators, then you probably won’t like this one.
It’s not a bright, bold, stop traffic highlighter but that’s exactly why I love it. At my age, 40+, that’s definitely not the look I’m going for. Plus, it has zero sparkles in it.
I like a highlighter that just makes my skin look fresh and not flat matte. This gives my skin just a nice beautiful healthy looking glow.
