As if the first Naked palette from Urban Decay wasn’t awesome enough, they had to blow our minds again with a second Naked palette. The Naked2 palette came out a few weeks ago and it’s been flying out of stock left and right. It’s only being sold at UrbanDecay.com right now but will probably become available at Sephora and Ulta sometime after the first of the new year.
I missed the first round of sales but if you go to the website, you can put your name on an email mailing list to be notified when it comes back in stock. I’d say within a week later I got my email notification and wasted no time ordering mine.
If you don’t know what the Naked palettes are, they are a collection of 12 neutral Urban Decay eyeshadows in one palette. Naked2’s eyeshadows are all different from the original Naked palette except for one, Half Baked.
It’s hard for me to say which Naked palette I like best. They both contain a nice selection of matte, shimmer and glitter colors. I do like the packaging of Naked2 better though. It’s in a nice metal case instead of the original velvet one. The metal makes it easy to keep clean whereas the velvet one held dirt, fuzzies and pet hair like Velcro.
Naked2 retails for $50.00 and comes with a mini Lip Junkie lip gloss in the color Naked. You also get a very nice double ended brush inside the palette. One end is a flat eyeshadow brush and the other end is fluffy, great for blending. All in all, it’s well worth the price to me!
The colors (left to right):
Foxy – matte skin tone shade
Half Baked – golden shimmer
Bootycall – champagne shimmer
Chopper – glittery copper
Tease – matte light brown
Snakebite – dark bronze chocolate shimmer
Suspect – light golden tan shimmer
Pistol – grey shimmer
Verve – light grey/silver shimmer
YDK – glittery bronze
Busted – dark brown shimmer
Blackout – matte black
And for comparison’s sake, this is what both the original Naked palette and the Naked2 palette look like when compared side by side.
So what do you think of Urban Decay’s Naked2 palette? Have you ordered yours yet or id it not something that peaks your interest? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
