A couple of weeks ago, Ulta was having some really good sales on their own brand of makeup products. That’s when I picked up some really great fall nail polish colors for only $2.00 a bottle! And their single eyeshadows were on sale for only $4.00 each.

I really like the quality of Ulta’s eyeshadows. They have tons of really nice colors to choose from and the color payoff is good too. Each eyeshadow is a very generous size too, 2.4g. MAC and Urban Decay’s standard single eyeshadows are only 1.5g for $15 and $17 bucks each! So you’re definitely getting your money’s worth with Ulta shadows. And as a matter of fact I think they’re on sale again this week. Oh wait…yep, they’re 2 for $6.00. Another steal!

Here’s the colors I got:
Au Natural – matte skin tone color that matches me perfectly.  It’s a great browbone highlight color.
Bayou – shimmery purple navy close to being a duochrome
Copper Bronze – beautiful bronzed copper with nice shimmer
In The Buff – shimmering champagne with a pinkish tone
 Lustre – shimmering light taupe
Organza – a deep purple shimmer with light gray undertones
 Pashmina – light lavender purple
Seashell – dusty rose with golden shimmer
Twilight – dark gray purple with silver shimmer
If you have the Urban Decay naked palette; Au Natural, In The Buff, Copper Bronze and Lustre make great coordinating colors. My favorites are Twilight and Seashell which actually look really good together.

I’ve actually been turned off by the Ulta brand product display in the past. It’s always quite a mess at the stores around me. Everything’s either really disorganized and messy or the stuff I want to see is empty. But I’m really glad I was patient during my last visit. Between the nail polish and these eyeshadows, I came home with some really cool finds.
