Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour Skin Perfecting Foundation ($7.99) comes in a small range of only 7 shades. I chose Classic Ivory and it works really well with my fair skin.
Lasting Finish is a full coverage liquid foundation. It easily covers any blemishes and conceals any redness.
This foundation does have a pretty thick consistency so it can lean towards the cakey side if you’re not careful. To combat that, I prefer using my damp Beauty Blender for application.
The damp sponge helps to smooth it out seamlessly. The extra bit of moisture helps to keep it from looking too cakey as well. One thin layer does the trick for me.
If you finish with a powder, this Rimmel foundation can look a little on the heavy, matte side. So if you don’t like a matte finish, this may not work for you.
Lasting Finish does just that. It lasts a really long time, even on my oily skin. 25 hours though? Not so much.
Even though the wear time of this is longer, it still breaks down a bit on my nose after about 8 hours. It still looks pretty great with just a bit of shine starting to peek through on my nose by the end of the day.
Overall I really love this Rimmel foundation. It covers really well, it looks great and it lasts me almost all day long. For a drugstore foundation, this one get two thumbs up.
