Milani recently came out with a new collection of 30 beautiful eyeshadows. Bella Eyes ($4.29) gel powder shadows start out as a gel and then get transformed into a powder. That process is supposed to make the formula give you rich and vibrant color.
I had a really hard time narrowing my purchase down but luckily I bought these during a buy one, get one 50% off sale at CVS. I bought a total of 11 colors. Instead of making one overwhelming post, I separted them into neutrals and brights.
Let’s take a look at the neutrals I bought:
- Bella Bronze
- Bella Caffe
- Bella Cappuccino
- Bella Espresso
- Bella Ivory
- Bella Sand
I believe there is a total of three different finishes that these Bella Eyes eyeshadows come in; shimmer, metallic and satin matte.
Of all of the colors I bought you’ll notice that the darker they are, the more pigmented they are. The lighter shades are not quite as impressive and look a little similar on the eyes. The good news is that you can use them wet for more concentrated color.
The formula has a silky smooth texture that is not powdery at all. They go on easily and blend well with no issues with fallout.
I’ve been wearing these with my usual eyelid primer and I have to say that I think they wear much better than most eyeshadows. I seem to be able to go all day with very little to no creasing. Shadows usually crease on me, even with a primer, starting at about the 6 hour mark.
For the price I think the Bella Eyes shadows are well worth a try. Just remember that if you pick some of the lighter neutrals, they may not be as pigmented as you’d like.
Have you tried any of the Milani Bella Eyes yet? Which colors are your favorite?
