If you’ve never heard of Makeup Geek before, let me tell you a bit about it. Makeup Geek started out as a website, run by Marlena, that shares makeup application tips and techniques in blog posts and in YouTube videos. Several months ago Marlena started her own line of makeup products which consist so far of eyeshadows, eyeliners and lipsticks.
First up, I’m trying out two shades of Makeup Geek gel eyeliners ($7.99) in Rave and Twinkle. I am so impressed by the creaminess and pigmentation of these eyeliners. For the price, you get a nice generous sized glass jar with a screw top lid.
A little bit goes a very long way. They easily glide across the eyelid without any tugging or pulling. And boy are they long wearing! They’re listed as water resistant and smudge proof and I’d have to say that is very true. Even on my oily eyelids, these eyeliners stay put all day!
I’m in love with the two colors I chose also. Rave is a shimmery dark brown color with tons of tiny flecks of golden shimmer. And Twinkle is a metallic dark gray shimmer.
I highly recommend these Makeup Geek gel eyeliners. They have great staying power, a nice range of colors to choose from and they are bargain priced! There are currently 11 shades available online at Makeup Geek.

Wow awesome colors, I’ve been really curious about MUG products.
The colors are really great and they’re nice quality too. I highly recommend them. I have some eyeshadows I’m reviewing soon too that are really nice.
