With coral colors being the hot trend this Spring and Summer season, I was immediately curious about this Lancome Color Design eyeshadow palette in Coral Crush ($49). And the name makes it sound so fun and fresh. This palette consists of 4 eyeshadow colors and 1 eyeliner color.
On the back of the box and on a clear cover inside the compact, they have each shade’s purpose listed. The eyeliner shade is a beautiful chocolate brown color with bronze flecks of shimmer. The all-over base color is a very light peachy pink shimmer that comes very close to my actual skintone. The lid color is a pretty coral peach shimmer that’s not too bright and can still be considered pretty neutral.
The crease color is a nice cocoa brown with just a hint of bronze shimmer. And lastly, the highlighter is a silvery taupe shade that may not work well for those with fair skin. I use the all-over base color as my highlight actually. It works much better for my fair skin as the silver taupe highlighter is a little too dark and obvious.
I’m quite fond of this Lancome Color Design eyeshadow palette. When I ordered it from the Sephora website, I was worried that Coral Crush would be too bold of a palette. But actually the colors are all very neutral and wearable. They blend like a dream and are highly pigmented shadows.
So, what do you think of the Coral Crush palette from Lancome? Will you be jumping on the coral bandwagon this year?
