This month’s Julep Maven theme was Simply Bewitching, just in time for Halloween. All of the style profile choices, except one, included a crackle nail polish. I know most people don’t like them, but I’m ok with using them occasionally.
I’m usually lumped into the Boho Glam style profile but that one had a weird putty gray color and a white crackle. Not really exciting to me, so I chose American Beauty instead. American Beauty had a nice denim blue color and a unique shimmery orange crackle that I knew I’d use for fall.
Here’s what I got:
Eloise – A dark blue cream color that reminds me of denim. It’s very opaque in just one coat.
Sabrina – An orange shimmer crackle, very cool for this time of year. I’ll probably use this over black the week of Halloween.
Quick Dry Polish Drops – Can’t wait to try this!
Extras: A yummy little snack bag of candy corn and an orange and black glitter pot. The glitter is to be sprinkled on top of wet nail polish for a festive look.
I’m really pleased with this month’s Julep Maven box. I think there were a lot of really cool items in it. I really liked both nail polish colors but I’m most excited to try the quick dry drops. I’ve never used anything like it before, have you? I’m curious to see if it works as well as a quick dry top coat.
