A few days ago It Cosmetics was on QVC with a fabulous collection at an amazing price. I received mine a few days prior to it going on air but didn’t have a chance to get this post up in time for the TSV presentation.
However the It’s All About You collection is still available ($65.96). There are 5 different color choices to choose from ranging from fair to rich. Since it’s summer and I have a bit of color I chose the second lightest shade, light.
This set includes 5 pieces:
- Celebration Foundation in Light Medium (retails for $35)
- Bye Bye Under Eye Full Coverage Waterproof Concealer in Neutral Medium (retails for $24)
- CC+ Radiance Palette
- Brow Power Universal Pencil (retails for $24)
- Dual-ended Complexion Brush (retails for $48)
The only thing I’ve tried before from It Cosmetics is the Brow Power pencil which I love. It’s a good pencil that fills in my brows and doesn’t budge all day. The universal shade looks very natural in my dark brown brows.
Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer is one of those products you hear people rave about so I’ve been wanting to try it for over a year now. This new version is waterproof and exclusive to QVC until 12/31/14.
The concealer is very thick but not hard to work with. It’s creamy enough that it easily blends out and does give me full coverage. I have a terrible time with creasing under my eyes with most concealers but so far I haven’t had that with this. And it lasts all day for me as well.
Included in this kit is another raved about product. The Celebration Foundation is a full coverage, anti-aging powder foundation. It has a smooth and silky texture and the finish has a light luminous glow.
The compact comes with a sponge applicator as well but I’ve been using the brush from this kit to apply it. It really does give incredible coverage but I can still see my freckles through it.
I try not to over do it with this powder though as it starts to get a powdery, cakey look if you apply too much. It’s great for quick, everyday wear but if I really want flawless coverage I’ll stick to a liquid foundation and maybe use this as a light dusting to set it.
Most exciting to me is the CC+ Radiance Palette that includes a blush, bronzer and a brightening powder. I was really surprised to see how large this palette was when I got it. I expected something average sized but this bugger is big and will last forever.
The other thing I noticed was how dark the Love blush and Warmth bronzer are in the packaging. I figured there was no way these colors would work for me but they actually do. I just lightly tap my brush into the blush cause a little goes a very long way.
The bronzer doesn’t swatch nearly as dark as it looks in the palette. It’s actually a very wearable shade for me and doesn’t look too orange or muddy on my skin. And it’s a matte finish which I prefer for bronzers.
The Radiant Light brightening powder is a really interesting product. It has flecks of color correcting pigments in it. It’s also a silky smooth texture and helps to even out my skin tone. This powder adds just a hint of glow to your skin while smoothing everything out.
All three of these powders are velvety smooth and not too powdery. They blend easily and look very natural on the skin.
Last but not least is the double ended brush, which is so darn soft. The bigger end works great for applying the foundation and the smaller end works great with the concealer.
Overall I couldn’t be happier with this It Cosmetics collection. It’s a steal for the price and I really like all of the products.
