The Benefit Go TropiCoral Lip and Cheek Kit ($28) is one of four new sets available this fall. Three of the sets are lip and cheek kits and one is a complexion kit. Right now they can be found exclusively at Sephora.
The lip and cheek kits come in either Feelin’ Dandy (pinks), Go TropiCoral (corals), or Sugarlicious (nudes). Each kit contains a liquid highlighter, a powder blush and brush, a cheek/lip stain, and a lipgloss. The products are not full sized but more along the lines of a deluxe sample size.
The packaging of these kits is really cute. Go TropiCoral is in a light peach metallic box with really cute accents of leopard print. The products come in a magnetic flip top box. On the inside lid are some application tips and tricks that fold out to reveal a generous sized mirror.
Here’s what’s inside:
Cha Cha Tint 0.13 fl oz
High Beam 0.13 fl oz
Coralista Powder Blush 0.1 oz
Coralista Ultra Plush Lipgloss 0.22 fl oz
High Beam has always been one of my favorite face highlighters. It’s a pale pink based highlight that gives a subtle glow to the tops of your cheekbones. I mainly bought this set because I’d been dying to try the Coralista powder blush and Cha Cha Tint for some time now. The coordinating Ultra Plush lip glosses are recently new and a bit pricey in their full sized versions. I thought the Go TropiCoral kit was a great chance for me to try these items out.
As I suspected, I do really like the Cha Cha tint and Coralista blush quite a bit. The Coralista Ultra Plush lip gloss I am not really a fan of. It smells great in the tube, a fresh fruity scent, but it tastes terrible. It has a sort of plastic taste to it that is especially worse at first. It does feel a bit slimy or greasy on the lips too and therefore doesn’t last long.
For the price I find the Go TropiCoral lip and cheek tint to be a good value. This is a great way to try several Benefit products for the price of about one full sized item. What do you think about this lip and cheek kit?
