Since I’ve liked all of the products I’ve purchased from Drew Barrymore’s Flower Beauty line, I decided to pick up one of the Shine On Lip Glosses ($6.98) to try. I chose a bright pink shade called Iris I Could Fly.
I’m so impressed by the quality of this gloss! It’s majorly pigmented and reminds me more of a liquid lipstick than a lip gloss. It gives my lips close to opaque coverage with just one swipe of product.
The texture is so silky smooth too. It easily glides onto my lips without any stickiness and stays that way for the duration of wear time. Since it is slightly on the thicker side it does wear a little longer that thinner glosses do and leaves behind a slight tinted stain on my lips too.
The one thing I’m not fond of about this gloss is the scent. It smells like roses which I’m guessing is supposed to coincide with the Flower brand name. It’s just not appealling to me at all. I not only dislike the scent of roses but I don’t want anything floral scented near my mouth, yuck!
Overall the pigmentation and quality of this gloss far outweighs the floral scent so I can live with it. If you’re looking for a light feeling gloss with tons of color, I highly recommend this one!
