New this season to the Covergirl line is the Ready, Set Gorgeous collection. The most exciting portion of this collection is the brand new line of concealer and 2 kinds of foundation, a liquid and a powder. I passed on the concealer but I did pick up both of the foundations.
Let’s take a look at the oil free liquid foundation:
This foundation comes in a 1 oz squeeze type tube. There are about 12 shades available in the collection. Since it’s summer time and I have a little more color, I went with the third lightest shade #115, buff beige.
Surprisingly this shade is still a little light for me. I’m usually the lightest or second lightest in most foundations so I wasn’t expecting it to be still too light. I’m not sure if all the shades run light but you may want to keep that in mind.
I’ve been using this foundation for a few weeks now and have found that I like to apply it with a foundation brush instead of the Beauty Blender. When applied with a brush, I get nice medium coverage that easily covers any redness and imperfections.
It also works well when applied with the Beauty Blender but you get a lighter, semi-sheer coverage. It still evens out my skin but covers redness and imperfections less.
I really love the coverage and finish of this foundation, even more so than the Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation. It gives my skin a nice demi-matte finish. It looks really natural with just a touch of a glow.
I have pretty oily skin and this holds up really well all day long. My t-zone usually starts breaking foundations down around the 4 – 6 hour mark. With this foundation I only notice a minimal amount of breakdown on my nose even after 8 hours.
I have to say that this is one of my new favorite foundations. It has been running neck and neck with my other recent fave, the Elf Acne Fighting Foundation. Not only do I love the coverage and finish but it wears really well also.

Hi Amanda,
I have a sensitive skin so this one is suitable for my sensitive skin. I like it doesn’t clog pores and lasts all day. Thank you for sharing this. I will try this.
