About Amanda

Hello all!  Let me introduce myself, my name is Amanda.  I am a married mother to 3 wonderful hairy, 4 footed boys.  Bo, my yellow lab born in 1999.  Tucker, my white and orange cat born in  2000.  And Sprint, my chubby kitty born in 2001.

My husband and I met in 1998 at a country line dancing club, when country line dancing was cool.  I am very blessed to have met such a great man so unexpectedly.  He is a hard worker and I have such great respect for him.  I love him dearly.

We continued a semi-long distance relationship until 2001 when we were married.  We don’t plan on having children except for the furry kind, much to our parent’s disappointment. 

For over 7 years , I was an office manager for a 4 doctor veterinary practice.  I really enjoyed working with the animals but not the doctors so much.  In 2003, my love of candles combined with my entrepreneurial spirit led me to launch my own candle business, Kiski Valley Kandles.

With the current state of the economy, I was forced to close my candle business in 2008.  I really miss making and selling candles.  I found it a really great way to express my creativity.  I also really enjoyed being able to meet great people at craft shows and fairs.  Hopefully I will be able to do it again sometime soon.

Starting my candle business introduced me to the online world where I now appear as the editor of smbceo.com.  I work online now from home and come across so many new and interesting ideas, items and trends.  I really enjoy spending my spare time shopping online and browsing recipe blogs.

This blog is where I will list some of the coolest things I find online. You may not agree with my picks & views but feel free to chime in. Let’s keep it positive though. My goal is to create a fun atmosphere of discovering some really great things.
