The product featured in this article was purchased by myself.

I keep trying to will Spring to come faster but good grief it’s just not happening fast enough here in Western PA.  I’d like to strangle that darn groundhog, early Spring my butt!  So with wishful thinking I went with a Spring inspired shade this week for my nail polish.

Valentine's Day Polka Dot Manicure

Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day so I chose to do a quick polka dot manicure for the holiday.  I started with two coats of a shimmery white base, Revlon’s Aloof.  After that dried, I started with the dots using a dotting tool set I bought on Ebay for just a few bucks.

For the dots, I used three more colors.  I first started with red polka dots using Covergirl Outlast Stay Brilliant in Ever Reddy.  Then I followed that up with a medium pink , Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Extreme Wear in Twisted Pink.  Lastly I wanted a soft pink shade so I used Nicole by OPI in Paparazzi Don’t Preach.

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter Sorbet and Wild Watermelon

China Glaze Hanging In The Balance and Revlon Ritzy

This week I’m wearing the other China Glaze nail polish color I bought from the Cirque du Soleil Worlds Away collection, Hanging In The Balance.  This is a bright blue creme shade.  To add some interest, I decided to do a glitter accent nail.

I recently nabbed this glitter polish by Revlon at Rite Aid and couldn’t wait to try it!  Ritzy is a dark gray base with silver micro glitter and silver hex glitter.  This one was sold before as Sparkle Aplenty but it was renamed and re-promoted as Ritzy in the Urban Nights collection.  Ritzy is a nice and opaque black glitter in two coats but doesn’t get too chunky and lumpy, which is nice.
