Nail Polish: Maybelline Amethyst Ablaze and Limited Edition Lavender Sparks

I came across a few new shades of Maybelline Color Show nail polish and they happened to be my favorite color so I had to have them! For the base I used two coats of Amethyst Ablaze, part of their new metallics line of nail polish.

I topped it off with two coats of their limited edition Lavender Sparks glitter nail polish. This one is beautiful! I couldn’t quite capture it in my pics because of all the sparkle. It’s a clear based nail polish with holographic lavender colored micro glitter and hex glitter. Since the sparkly bits are holographic, they actually look like multi colored glitter on the nails depending on how the light hits it.

Spring 2013 is bringing out all kinds of fun colored beauty products! Maybelline released 3 limited edition blush shades in their Color Goes Electric collection. I picked up the two brightest shades, Coral Burst and Wild Blossom ($6.69).

Maybelline Coral Crush Baby Lips Moisturizing Lip Balm

Maybelline Baby Lips Moisturizing Lip Balms are made with shea butter and vitamin E. They come in 6 permanent shades and have recently released 5 limited edition shades. I finally came across the limited edition shade Coral Crush.

When I think of the color coral I usually think a nice blend of pinks and oranges. Coral Crush however is basically orange in color. It even has an orange citrus scent to it. That’s not necessarily a bad thing but it wasn’t what I was expecting.

Maybelline The Perfector Instant Age Rewind Skin Smoothing Powder Review and Pictures

To go along with The Lifter Instant Age Rewind foundation, Maybelline released the The Perfector Instant Age Rewind Powder ($10). This skin smoothing powder contains shea butter and jojoba oil along with a swirl of primer. The Perfector comes in 6 different shades. I picked up the second lightest color, Light.

The packaging is a nice and convenient size with a flip top lid. The bottom also flips open to reveal a sponge and a nice sized mirror.
