MAC Pink Lemonade Tinted Lipglass Lip Gloss Pictures and Swatches

MAC Pink Lemonade Tinted Lipglass Lip Gloss

MAC Pink Lemonade Tinted Lipglass ($15) is a very popular shade and now that I finally have it, I can see why.  Pink Lemonade is a bright coral pink color perfect for Spring and Summer.  I don’t often buy MAC glosses because you don’t get much bang for your buck.  But I heard so many good things about this shade that I had to finally break down and buy it.

This MAC lip gloss is a bit on the sticky side but not unbearable.  It doesn’t bother me at all but some people really hate that sticky feeling.  I find that the stickiness usually helps them last a bit longer than non-sticky glosses.  They have a delicious vanilla scent to them but no taste.

MAC Pro Longwear Lipcreme in Dress It Up, Pictures and Swatches

MAC Pro Longwear Lipcreme in Dress It Up

Recently I made my first visit to a CCO and picked up a few things.  What is a CCO?  It’s the Cosmetics Company Store outlet where you can get certain high end cosmetics and skincare items at discounted prices.  Most of the items are discontinued limited edition products so I won’t tease you with those.  However I did pick up this MAC Pro Longwear Lipcreme lipstick in the shade Dress It Up, which is still available to purchase at MAC.

Dress It Up is a light blue based pink color.  I like these lipsticks because they are so light.  I’m not into thick, heavy lipsticks so I enjoy something so light and creamy smooth like these.  This lipstick is very pigmented and didn’t take much to fully cover my lips.  It has a slightly glossy finish but I like to add just a touch of light pink gloss on top.

MAC Heavenly Creature Collection Pictures and Swatches

MAC Heavenly Creature Collection

Normally I don’t get overly excited about any of MAC’s collections.  But there’s just something about the marbled multi-color mineralized products that just get me.  I love all the colors swirled together!  They’re just so eye catching and too tempting to pass up.

Last week MAC’s Heavenly Creature collection debuted online.  The collection consists of 8 mineralize eyeshadows, 4 mineralize blushes, 4 mineralize skinfinishes, 5 lipsticks, 5 cremesheen glasses, various brushes and some skincare items.  What sets this collection apart from a lot of their others in the incredible color designs.  Everything is so bright and colorful and looks just plain fun.

So being the sucker that I am, I broke down and chose some things to try.  Believe me, I wanted them all but I was able to narrow it down to just 5 items.  I bought three eyeshadows in Aurora, Bright Moon and Magnetic Attraction.  I also bought the Star Wonder skinfinish and Supernova blush.

Aurora is a peachy pink with green and reddish brown swirling.  Not my favorite one in the packaging but I do love it swirled together.  When applied, it becomes a nice shimmery cocoa brown.

Bright Moon is gorgeous in the packaging!  I love the combination of the gray with the silver and mint green swirls.  So pretty!  When swirled together you get a really pretty silvery light blue that almost looks light lavender from certain angles.

Magnetic Attraction reminds me of fire with it’s beautiful yellows, oranges and deep pinks.  A real eye catcher.  When this one is swirled together it becomes a coppery orange color.

Star Wonder is a beautiful blend of pinks with a golden pearl highlight.  When swirled together you get a pretty medium pink color with a slight golden shimmer.

Supernova is a bright and bold fuchsia pink color with gold swirling.  Believe it or not but this actually goes on as a deep raspberry rose color.  I quite enjoy the color, it’s unlike anything I already have.

I really like everything I bought.  All of the items are highly pigmented and blend on smoothly.  So what do you think of the new MAC Heavenly Creatures collection?  Will you be purchasing any of these beautiful items?

Give Lips and Cheeks Some Casual Colour With MAC – Pics and Swatches of Weekend Getaway and Out For Fun

MAC Casual Colour Weekend Getaway and Out For Fun

The MAC Casual Colour collection ($20) out for Summer 2012 consists of 8 limited edition shades.  The purpose behind these is that they can be used on either the lips and/or cheeks.  I chose two colors, Weekend Getaway and Out For Fun.  Weekend Getaway is a beautiful rosy pink color and Out For Fun is a more vibrant coral shade.

Each Casual Colour comes in a small pot with a screw top domed lid.  Each one contains 0.43 fluid ounce which is quite a bit considering that a MAC tinted lipglass contains only 0.17 fluid ounce.  These are almost exactly the same size (0.44oz) as the new Revlon PhotoReady cream blushers I reviewed last month.

The texture of these are very smooth and creamy.  Each one of the two shades I own are highly pigmented so a little goes a very long way.  When applied to the cheeks, they easily blend out with just your fingertips.  They dry down nicely and don’t leave a greasy look or feeling on my cheeks.

On the lips, these MAC Casual Colours have a nice silky feel without being sticky or thick.  They’re not quite as opaque like a lipstick but not quite as sheer as a tinted lip balm.  They fall nicely in between, giving my lips a good amount of color while keeping my lips moist and soft.

I really like these a lot.  I love the way they look both on the cheeks and on the lips.  These are perfect for Summer, nice and light.  I will get tons of use out of these and considering you only need a dab at a time, they’ll last forever.

When compared to the Revlon PhotoReady cream blushers, I like these way more.  They are better pigmented, creamier and easier to blend out.  And for only about $7 more, you get to use these MAC Casual Colours on the lips too!

So what do you think of these MAC Casual Colours?
